I was looking at used trucks and came across one that I was interested in. After calling the dealership, they informed me it was part of Chrysler's Buy Back program. The owner had complained of a sticking accelerator pedal in Cali, so Chrysler bought it back, replaced the PCM and the accelerator pedal according to the file. It comes with a 12 month 12,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty as well as the original manufacturer warranty. How does the titling on these work? Salvage? Etc. worth buying??

We bought a lemon from Nissan Armada. It was a good $8k below retail and was bought back for steering judder while braking. There was eventually a TSB and it was performed before we bought it. The fiance had the car for 3 years with no real problems (battery died once and the IPDM went out and was covered by warranty).
Now the biggest downside was what we got when we traded it in on her Mini Cooper...it was $8k below market. So it ended up being a wash. We didnt have any trouble. Kristen (Special K) used to deal with lemons previously I recall at her old job and said companies would buy back cars for ridiculous reasons and there was nothing wrong with them.
So take it for what you will.... it could be good...it could be bad, but that can happen with ANY car, new or used.

I bought one from Greenville Dodge...06' 2500 Mega-Cab Laramie, it was a smoking deal and had been bought back out of Florida for repeat CEL...apparently the buy back laws are a lot stiffer in other states and that is how those Dodge dealers like Bonham and Greenville pick them up. Mine ended up being a bit of a fiasco, but it was warrantied, and after I diagnosed it myself, had to involve Chrysler Corporate, they eventually ended up replacing a harness that fixed some issues it had....pretty certain that was the cause all along. However it eventually started having several other unrelated issues, and I flat got fed up with sweating my ass off all summer when it's AC would suddenly stop cooling....so I traded it in after a couple years. I got $4K less than I paid for it, and put almost 50K miles on it in 2 years, so still didn't work out terrible....but it was a headache.70' Chevelle RagTop
