    how long will batterys last just sitting on the shelf . im talking about those rechargable AA and AAA batterys for like xbox controllers and stuff

    I think its nickel cadmium ? cant remem ber

    looked around and found you can buy lead acid batteries without the acid for longer storage but no indication on just the little batteries

    Just left in th package not being used

                They have an expiration date on the package, but if they aren't leaking after that, give them a shot. The expiration is usually like 3 years. Also, take them out of whatever device you were using them in, when you're not using the device, and they'll last a lot longer.
