Rpm gauge seems to jump up and down after 2500rpm at wot. Noticed it after i put in new plugs,cap and rotor, cleaned up and oiled air filter.
Put in autolite 764's and decided to switch them out for motorcraft platinums(gapped .050) to see if the would help. They made the low end torque feel better as far as sotp feeling but im still feeling uneasy about it as the gauge still fluctuates but the pinging stopped with the platinums. Also cleaned maf sensor,checked timing(12 degrees), checked tps and couldnt find any vaccum leaks. Pump gas 93 octane.
Possible the distributor/coil?
Car is an aod with gt40ps,tfs stage 1,pro m 75mm,longtubes,msd 6al etc.. Id appreciate any input if anybody has had experience with this!
