  • Anyone near Mesquite have any extra drum brake parts?

Need the little anvil shaped piece that goes on the anchor pin that holds the shoes at the top... Just need one of them. can't seem to find a diagram worth a shit, but here is what it looks like:

    hmmmmm, i MIGHT have that.

    I'll go check.

edit: nope, must have thrown it out after i got done with my brake job.

Just go to vatozone or oreillys for the 8-10 dollar kit.

It's not in the kit. Already bought one... its one of the few pieces not included.

oh, maybe that is why I don't have an extra one. Could have swore it came with the kit.

Fyi, make sure the springs are the right lenghth in that kit. I spent days trying to put mine together until I realized the kit had the wrong length springs. They were close but not quite right.

So far so good, got one together (although it was a pain, I hate drum brakes!). Now I just need to find this part so I can get the other one together before I lose all these parts!

Drill and notch a quarter , it's not perfect but will last for years .
