  • Optima Battery ?

    I have a Red Top with both Top and side post,
    anyone know if i can use both Positive side and top post at the same time?,
    reason I have battery in the rear want to run separate lines to
    starter solenoid and alternator.

      You can. It is pretty common on emergency vehicles.

        I think if they have both you do not want to use the side ones for any real load. I blew the side posts right out of two yellow tops cranking my Diesel one time.

            My idea is to have the alternator feed into + side post,
            and + Top to starter solenoid. Foxbody with 3g alternator.
            Just to avoid the excessive wires into same terminal.

              You can send the alternator lead to the solenoid also.
