66 coupe export brace

I need to remove the export brace on my car to get better access to the motor so I can do a little work. Before I remove the brace do I need to place jacks under the frame to support some of the weight? I've heard from some people that I need to do this and some people say that I do not. What do you guys think?

You don't need to do anything. I wouldn't drive the car without it re-attached though.

When you re-install it, do so with the front jacked up by the frame.
