  • any ideas 91 gt

I just bought a 91 GT with 302, has B cam 70mm T/B 76mm mafs, it has no tune on it. So when I push in the clutch it dies due to low idle, is there anyway to get it to idle up until I can get the tune put on it?

There is a small screw on the throttle body linkage you can use to adjust the idle

Advancing the timing will also increase the idle. That cam will suck some up so you can advance it more than a stock motor. I ran mine at about 18 deg.

Did you already check the TPS voltage?

alot of the bbk/eddy are small allen "set" screws (not really broken) so be sure to check that. be sure to reconfigure tps afterwards

you could try cleaning the IAC also

if it's stickey it can do that too

Don't jack with the idle screw if your unsure of what your doing. This car should run no problem with out a tune. As said check your iac (clean with b12). Check for vacume leaks, timing, etc. Are there any codes? Idle screw is a bandaid

IAC is good, no vaccum leaks, once I got the idle up to 950 and TPS back to .99, runs like a charm. I will be going up on timing this weekend and will re-adjust everything. I was needing a quick fix. I was told it needed a tune, until a few friends contacted me and helped me out.

                      Thanks everyone for your responses!
