  • Alignment question.

If you replace the compression rod, is an alignment required afterwards? TIA.

I replaced the LCA on wifes G6 a while back and it required no alighment to be done. But there was very little room for any type of adjustment.

          What year and model?

AFAIK theres no compression rod in any nissan service manual. A lot of older nissan's have Tension Rod's and subsequent bushings. This locates the control arm in the proper place.

With a new Tension Rod bushing an alignment would only help. If they replaced the Tension Rod itself then it was bent, so an alignment would also be only prudent.

2005 G35. The compression rod holds 2 bushings on it. I could be wrong but they are the only bushings on the car.
