  • 8.8 E brake parts all the same?

So I picked up a nice 8.8 out of a 98 explorer for my TJ. When I got it home I noticed no E-brake parts, I thought it was just missing the cables and it was dark (duh). So are all disc brake rears the same for backing plates and the E-brake hard parts or would it just be easier to go get another 8.8 from the wrecking yard for 200. It was only 100 so I could part it out for that no biggie. Just curious if some of the mustang rears had the parts also.

Not sure what exactly you seem to be missing but the exploder e brake was integral to the disc, a drum brake inside the disc.

Yeah I have done a few of these on yj's. What I am missing is backing plates(knew this), all inner hub parts inside the rotor, and shoes. I can buy shoes, springs, and inner parts but I think I need the lever that sticks thru to connect the brake lines. Also I think they require the backing plates but not sure.
