I just got a 2000 gt, waiting for the motor to have an issue so I can start working on the coyote swap - that magazine article makes it look easy.

Yes. If for example you have a 97 mustang gt with a 4.6. You can literally pull the motor out, remove the motor mounts, bolt them to the coyote motor and bolt it directly back in and up to the trans that was there previously.. All you will need is a flywheel and clutch. From there is deciding if you want power steering or a/c as on the coyote motor, the a/c is on the driver lower where the power steering pump is located on the 97. there is a bracket that allows you to reuse the factory 97 pump, but then you loose the a/c.. There isnt to my knowledge a company offering an affordable bracket assembly that allows the retention of all accessories. There is a company, but it is an aftermarket powersteering pump that costs too much money imo... Also ford racing offers a complete kit containing gas pedal, computer, wiring, etc everything to make a coyote motor run using a manual trans in what ever vehicle you want.. BBK is also offering swap headers for a fox body, that will also work in an sn95 or s281 body mustang along with a mid pipe that will bolt up to any catback.. Basically for less then 10k you can have a coyote swapped into your car. That is 400 rwhp, 25+ mpg and none of this bull shit imbreeding of cars and engines..

I personally am against putting a different brand engine in a car... just not my thing... If you know what you are doing, you can make any engine run hard.. I hear lots of people saying that mod motors only run good with boost. Well how does 400 rwhp, and 430 tw to the tires sound on an n/a mod motor.. many have done it and its not hard nor any more expensive as an ls swap.. a 5.4 dohc with the right cams, cobra intake and exhaust will make that power all day long.. been there done that..

Yeah, except one 'brand' costs five times more to build.

Refer to my first point above.
