Bought the FAST used some years ago. The car has never ran with it before. Plus re an the car with painless wiring.

    FAST - part # 30-213211

    firmware - pro c1-f

MSD box - 7530t- bought it brand new.

motor, dart 331, afr 205, efi spyder intake, 160lb injectors

At the moment the car is getting spark. I even checked the dashboard on the FAST and its getting RPM signal (its moving when cranking)

The car just isn't getting fuel. When the fuel pump turns on the fp goes up to 45. But when cranking the injector plugs are not getting the pulsing ground it needs.

Where else do we need to look? We are new to all this

Now another thing which I'm not for sure if it means anything for it not starting, but the MSD box is flashing 2 red lights for cam sync. Now we did set that up.

cam position sensor problem, if this is a sequential system it needs one pulse to know the diff between TDC compression and TDC exhaust.

Ok we now have the powerfrom the ECU to the battery. We picked up to about 10 volts now at cranking. ( thats checking it with a meter)

On the dashboard (FAST) it shows the battery voltage dropping to 9 while cranking though.

Will this keep the ECU from firing the injectors off?

The main ground for the ECU is not to the battery. Its a good ground but does it need to go to the battery?

we are getting a RPM signal.

I've heard that most ignitions quit at 8 volts........

plus we found out today the injector harness is wrong. Its setup for the old SBF firing order.

Kinda of weird though since the firing order was right in the computer

I set the firing order in the computer - remember, it had a bunch of blank stuff in it like the previous owner took thier tune out.

The distributor pickup is what signals the ECU for the injector signal - which is why it's set at 75* BTDC. Check dash board for cam synch signal

I was not aware of the battery bieng so low - it has to be FULLY charged for the digital7 to work. If it's only seeing 9V cranking, it's entirely possible that it's going into 'limp' mode where it won't crank.

If the FAST box is showing crank trigger signal (RPM showing in the dash) - then you only have one of two possible scenarios - Your wiring between the FAST and Digi7 is not right (there's only one wire to interface between the two), or your battery voltage is too low.

              I suspect low voltage.

When checking for cam sync signal does it need to be cranking over or just turn om?

Well might have found the problem. While checking wires from ECU to crank trigger and cam syn. I found a socket pushed back on the ECU plug. It will not lock in so I guess I am going to have to change the socket. This is the kind of shit I found on working on new airplanes for thirty years at Lockheed. I will keep posted on how this comes out. By the way the wire is the one going to the crank trigger and from what I understand you have to have both trigger and cam syn for the injectors to work.

Give me a call after you test this out - but FWIW, I'm 99% sure that you do NOT have to have the cam synch plugged in. With it not plugged in, you simply don't have sequential injection - it defaults back to B2B.

Regardless, you should still see the crank trigger pulsing in the dashboard.

is the crank trigger CTS corr on the dashboard? Cause other than that I have no idea where crank trigger is on there. I even went into the edit and didn't see it.

But if it is CTS corr, nothing is happening there when cranking

Nope, that's coolant temp. I can't remember what the dash says, I'll have to look it up

FAST just told me you can not see the crank trigger from the dashboard , just the RPM
