Shiner is schwag... for each and every one of their different beers, there's 5 better examples that are readily available for similar price.

the only beer that they make that doesn't really have another similar option is their flagship "bock" (which isn't really much of a bock) as such, it's the only one I'll drink if I'm in a bind.

Completely agree. I like the bock a lot though. Pretty much my staple beer when I don't feel like being fancy with my drinking.
