    Echo Stick Edger

    Anyone own or ever use an Echo Stick Edger? Wondering if they work well or not.

    Both my line trimmer and blower are echo. I've had them for years with no issues whatsoever. I don't see why the stick edger would be any different.

      They like to bounce out if you dont have a clean edge, but they work nice. Back in my childhood, we had a really long driveway on the 5 acres our house was on, and I used one of those. Once I got a clean edge, it was as quick as walking to edge it up and back.

        My co-worker has one that he has only used about 5 times and wants to sell it to me for $150. I'll give it a try and see how I like it.

          Love my echo yard tools. I have the combo set trimmer and edger and it has worked without issue for 2 years now

            Bite the bullet and go get a Stihl. The common echo stick edger at the HD isn't worth a shit go read the reviews. Motor is too small.

              Echo actually has the best warranty in the business ( 5 years) so don't listen to the shit above me. They make great tools, but I'd recommend buying from a place that actually services the gear, not a box store like home depot.
              It happens to be a well thought out and reasoned dissertation on drug use and a lyrical cost/benefit analysis of various kinds of drugs, drawing the conclusion that beer is the best of them all.

                I've got an Echo lawn equipent that we've had for 10+ years and with regular maintenance it's held up just fine.


                To the OP, it took me 3-4 trimmings to get the edge that I wanted on my current house when I first moved in. I like a deeper and wider edge on my yard. Once you get that edge, it makes future trimmings easier. I also use a tri-tipped or quad tipped blade as I feel they work better than dual tip blades.
