How does that make sense? It's not like the monthly bill for service went down and the new installment for the phone brings it back to where it was.

That is how it works on Verizon. You get a $25/month "device payment discount"..

It does, if you change to a non-subsidized plan.

EX: it's $20 a month cheaper for my wife and I to go on the "unlimited" plan that doesnt include phone upgrades than it is to stay on the upgrade plan with 10gigs of data.

$189 for a used Note2 right before the Note4 came out, using Net10, no issues for almost 2 years now.

My note 5 is 29/month. I get a $25/month payment plan discount. So, it costs me $48 for my note 5 after 2 years....seems like a good deal to me.

I thought the discount was for not being on a traditional contract/upgrade plan, so you'd still get it even with a phone you already owned.

If I'm not paying for a device it changes to a $15 or $20 a month discount. Never had that because I would rather have a new phone after two years.

I like the way they set it up, too bad it is on the sprint/T-mobile network. Neither of those work lots of places I go.

No shit? I didn't realize that. I've got the old unlimited data plan from AT&T, so I probably wouldn't switch away from that. My total bill every month after taxes and fees is around $65, and I never have to worry about using too many minutes, texts, data, etc.
