Im not working right now so I get to go back to sleep, but the wife on the other hand might have to. Im trying to talk her into staying home, dont feel good about her driving on this shit, esp in her new car which has twice the power of the last one and is rwd on bald summer racing tires. lol

I live in Allen near Plano in between Legacy and Bethany off 75 for reference to where the shit is coming.
Carpool. Think lots of people would be kind to pick her up for a car pool.

its one thing to be scared to drive in it. its another to not have a car really suited for this weather. we have a slammed c5, a lowered bmw, and my fox body vert which makes about 600 rw on a bad day, oh and its also slammed. lol

we dont do trucks, or vans, or suvs... when its like this the 3 days a year, its a stay home day and watch tv, not a sack up and drive to work with the rest of the idiots who cant drive to wreck up our cars.

that said, when i worked at ATT and they were fucken d bags about days off, i drove my cammed c6 which was slammed on MTs and skinnies at the time, to and from work like a bauce in the ice and snow at least 5 times. it still fucken sucked and so did att which was why i quit. they dont give a damn about you, only that you are in your seat ready to sell their shit on time.

It's not necessarily that I can't drive in this shit if I had too, but like the last ice storm, I was OK, the person behind me couldn't stop until my car forced hers to stop...

<-- working from home today, maybe tomorrow!

made it in, saw a couple cars in ditches, and one head on collision at the bottom of a hill. It wasnt as bad in Mansfield, just a bit slick, though the farther west I got coming into burleson, the worse it got.

The Colony to Carrollton was pretty easy, 40mph on Sam Rayburn, 35mph on Old Denton.

It is days like this that I appreciate my Land Cruiser based Lexus with the mud/snow/all-season Dunlops. The rest of the year it's a big 6,000lb boat that isn't fun to drive, comfortable yes, but fun no...

I was trying to get the thing to slide on my way to work this morning at 6am when no one was around and somehow the thing just digs in. It got pretty nasty here in the Trophy Club/Roanoke area as I was coming in.

I think it determines intended direction with the steering wheel angle and uses the 4WD system, brakes, throttle, etc. to just grind it's way into that direction. It makes a little noise in the 4WD system, the light flashes on low traction, and it just hunkers down and starts to turn. It's pretty awesome really.

I just need to stay away from everyone else and I'll be fine.
