Yeah they are fun cars for sure, if they made a single turbo for my 535i I think I would go that route. I'm stuck between getting a gt500 or CTS-V coupe right now...just having fun with the bimmer for now. Sucks that I went with a 6 speed, I've had dealers actually turn me away completely on a trade-in period because it's not an automatic. It was funny with one dealer that offered me a crappy trade it value before even asking if it was manual. Once I told him it was stick, he said it would be even less because people looking for luxury aren't looking for speed, then when he said he wanted more $ for the V because it was manual...go figure.
It's a different conversation when trading in an M3 or M5, which are the same market as the CTS-V, or even an M-sport 335/535. Most folks wanting just a CTS would prefer having an auto.

Your in the relative minority beefing up a 535i, which is part of what makes it cool, but it also limits your buyers.

Yeah that makes sense...I love M cars and was pretty close to getting an M5 but I just wasnt prepared to dish out another $12-15k more for one. I bought the car 2 years ago and ive put less than 8k miles so I wouldnt have really enjoyed it much. Its a fun car none the less, my goal is to get it at about 500 rwhp. My guess is that it will have to be a private buyer that buys the car if and when I sell it.
