fatality at little river dragway

a driver was killed tonight at little river dragway near Temple tx. car was a black gt500 with a lower red stripe on street tires. car was cut in half. RIP to the driver

seemed like he was trying to power shift, car broke loose right before 1/8th mile, turned right and hit guard rail and ramped over into a tree where car was cut in half. -- from friend who was there at track.


ive seen ALOT of cars lately get extremely loose right there at the 1/8 mile but this is by far the worst i can recall in a long time.

Damn. Been to and down that track countless times. I live about 45 minutes from it. Track always sucked and had lots of wrecks but i never saw a car go over the rail except in the shut down area at the end.

well theres a bunch of army guys (fort hood is right around the corner) which also contributes to the large amount of wrecks but i cant remember one as severe as this one. definitely a bad deal all around, might be the end of little river dragway unless they do some drastic improvements for safety and traction.

That doesn't seem safe at all. I'm just going off of pictures though, I've never been down that track.
