only thing I didn't do was enable the limit orders and the stop loss trades, I double tapped the mouse on the last step and it wouldn't let me go back

yes I am buying outside of the game and have made around a 20% return so far. I don't know if that's considered good or not but I'm not loosing money yet and very pleased as I'm learning.

Sure would have like to have known what Joseph is buying so I could have bought some in real life.

Second round I lost almost everything. It was my first attempt at playing. Figured I would try to do better than the people working our retirement plan. Opened a Scottrade account and so far it is making a little better return than our retirement account. But it has not made much. Plus that is in the short term and will probably go south at any given moment!!

Only holding 3 companies in the real portfolio. 1 tech, 1 casino and 1 soft drink company. I think my next batch will be airline, pharmaceuticals and maybe wmt or ge.

My company's 401k has shit for options unless you buy the company stock which I buy 100% of. While they say that's not a good idea it has proven to be a very good choice over the 30 years history of the employees I work with. Yes it has its ups and downs but ultimately it is better then the other options. On top of that it pays dividends which have been a pretty decent chunk of change at times.

As far as my day trader account I Have not been trying to buy for long term as I feel that's defeating the purpose unless of course you are waiting out the incline/decline side of it.

Jyro gave several good leads in the last game which I have been keeping a close eye on and trading with 2 of them. The other which I have so far made a little on it groupon... will see on that one.

On a side note I was in tesla till I decided I dont have enough shares to make it worthwhile, man was I wrong as its 60+ increase would have paid.
