            Last Christmas Eve I was on duty and we had a badass condo fire over on Trinity where at least 3 families lost everything.

            This year I am on duty Christmas Eve again and we've been to a MHMR house where the patient for all intents and purposes has been abandoned by their family, a severe stroke, a patient whose brother was shot to death a few days ago, and a heart attack.
            Be certain, this post is not about me.
            It certainly could be worse.

                      Made the most of it today. Not a big fan of the holidays either but it's been good having my nephew back. I'm just ready to go back to work but that's not until Thursday.

                        I was a little upset about having to work tonight and I got the reality check when I got here. I thought this exact same thing. Our unit is half full with families camping out in the waiting room instead of being at home.
