Either way you put it. He was out of line.
I'm with you on that one. In my town, people leave their car running in the parking lot all of the time. Hell, even the cops leave their cars running. That said, take your damned keys.

Assisted theft, you'd be fucked if he got in your running car and drove off. Insurance wouldn't do shit.

I can't get full coverage on my car through my insurance company. They told me its too old and valued to low.

Shop around dude. I was paying 150 per month just on my Mustang Through State Farm. So I called to add the F1 50 I bought yesterday. They said it was going to cost me next and $95 per month. Making my total insurance for both vehicles 245 per month. I then called nationwide And they covered both the mustang and F1 50 for 156 per month for coverage. So I'm only paying six dollars a month for my F150 lol

Oh and Nationwide does not even look at your vehicle to take pictures of it or anything.

Well, if you pull a gun, you better have a CHL, and if you have a CHL, stopping a misdemeanor theft isn't exactly in the guidelines for pulling a gun. Deadly force isn't authorized in this case.

If you don't have a CHL, then you are UCW. Either way, the scumbag can (and did) say that he was removing the keys for the owner/driver. It's a reasonable (although untrue) statement.

Also, OP, always take internet advice with a grain of salt.

What if you're traveling? If you have reasonable doubt that your property won't be recovered, isn't it legal to shoot?

In addition OP, if you have a chl and someone is trying to steal your car, you pull your gun, the cops come and arrest you, that cop is stupid.

Stealing a car is no longer a felony? Well, good to know.
