Man, I hate it when my dogs are sick.

I've got a newish heeler pup (15wks), and he is vomiting lots, and until a vet opens in the morning, I am going to stay up with him. That's his only symptom, but I'm not taking chances. The really fun part about all this is, I have to head to the airport at 11.

I know the feeling. Our two go to the vet the first sign of anything wrong. I swear, I need to get them enrolled in Obamacare...it is free right?

I bet we spend about $1,500 a year on vet visits, shots etc for ours.

Probably a bug he has. Or ate something from the yard that didn't agree with him. I bet he is better before the vets open in 4 hours.

Well, he barfed for two hours, and now he's sleeping soundly. I don't trust it. I would bet he ate something. These dogs eat stickers out of the yard like the stickers are candy.

Yellow and foamy could be a sign of pancreatitis.




There are a lot of 24 hour vet clinics around. Also for those that are interested. You might look into VPI pet insurance. You can use any vet, anywhere and it is covered.

Since he's a puppy, if he has vomited more than twice in 24 hours, take him in. Especially coming up on a holiday weekend. Is he fully vaccinated?

Our two pups have thrown up cause of eating lizards. My chick got them insurance with the vet clinic inside Petsmart. well worth it.

Get a hold of any bones? My old Heeler would get into the trash and eat chicken bones once every year or so and puke for bit..

The vet thinks he's starting to teethe, and just eating his baby teeth with his food. He also eats bugs, stickers out of the yard, and my firewood.
