      • Lol, at the key board warrior MAJUSTIN, calling me out to a place knowing nobody will waste the gas... I am a hand, a roughneck, but I am titled as a toolpusher now.... I've been doing this shit for almost 8 years and its almost killed me a few times and caused damage to my body in the process...u think I'm not about shit it's all good bro, carry on hooking up h2s equipment... Ill make sure I break it so y'all can continue to fix it... Gotta pay it forward so you can keep working.. Racrguy, as of right now no they don't, but it's gonna change... For the record, I'm better than nobody else anywhere outside of work or at work... The people on my rig are a reflection of me and my abilities.. My rig is a reflection of me and my hands... My hands are what counts because without them this rig is just a pile of metal

NO need to waste the gas. I am driving down to Dilley tomorrow and coming back on Wednesday. Let me know if anyone would like a ride.
our office is on the southbound side of 35 1 mile south of 85
If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.

            • I have a buddy getting into running a pipe inspection gauge. His friend has the contracts and is saying 6 figures is easy on 4-6 months of work they get a year. My buddy should be starting in a month and if all goes well I am gonna try and get on when I get fired here in Octoberish.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

              • Damn, them oil companies sure have deep pockets. I'm in pecos right now and because of all the new oil and has, prices on just about everything has gone up. They have also built a Shit load more hotels. There were two when I grew up here. Now there are 9 or 10 more. Cheapest I could find was 180 a night. Pos town.

                      • i run downhole tools on coil. great money and not too much physical activity. the hardest part is when things go wrong, or when you are working 24hr days for a few days at a time.

Shit, that sucks even when you're not in the field.

With day rates in the $20k range no one gives a shit what time of day it is.

I got a text from a field guy a couple days ago when we were troubleshooting some controls issues. It was something like, "Hey, my plane lands down there at 10pm, then 2 hour drive. I'll call you if the cal doesn't work... don't have too many beers before then."

First thought: "Dammit, I really hope I don't end up on the phone at 2am troubleshooting shit."

Second thought: "Could be worse... at least I'm not in field service!"

I am (or should be, rather) signing a contract with large global oil well services company to help track all of their field employee labor. It's been a 7mo sales process (which is relatively short for a deal of this size), and it's amazing the complexities that their employees work.

I have a ton of respect for what oil field workers do.

Why should they? I damn sure wouldn't.
