I could give two shit's what car you have, if you live in a house, and don't park in the garage.
I'll never understand people that live in a house and fill their garage with shit. In most cases, if you own the home, your car is the second most valuable thing you have. If you rent it's the most valued possession. So you park outside, on the street, or in the driveway. Meanwhile your $500 worth of unorganized shit takes up room in the garage. Ridiculous.
I have a car with a 25 year old shitty paint job, and it's parked inside.
But yeah if you're car is nicer than your house, you are living ghetto fabulous.

We don't have an automatic garage door... plus, we have well over $500 in stuff in the garage... you know, tools?

Damn, there's some judgmental people around here.
I have the same pet peeve. I'm sure there are some people that have legitimate reasons for parking outside, but if you have a 3 car garage full of boxes/shit, you probably need to do a little cleaning. Half my neighborhood has 3 car garages, and I'm one of the relative few that actually park both cars inside. Even if you have a 2 car garage you should probably be able to squeeze one in! If you can't, you probably need to invest in a shed or a storage unit IMO. Don't worry, I don't lose any sleep over it or anything (especially during inclement weather!).
I find this thread and everyone's opinion on this interesting. The conversation annoys me for the most part just seeing how little people know about setting priorities and managing their money.
I have a lot of people who dislike how cheap I am, particularly my family.
I also have a lot of people (particularly family) who expect hand outs because I have spending money.
Taking those two sentences above can tell you all you need to know. Everyone I have ever met that has ever complained about money (usually those with bad spending habit) does not know how to manage it, period. Any fool can spend it, not many know how to save it. They blame everyone else but the answer lies within.
As Jared has said, different strokes for different folks though. I like flashy things, new cars, and clothes just like the next guy. However, I get a lot more satisfaction out of looking at the money in my bank grow than how many shoes or how expensive my car is.
I don't look at those people any differently really but the moment I hear complaining about money I have no sympathy.

Yep, I fly over SE FTW regularly, saw 15K house with a Hummer, Viper, Lambo, and a couple street rods out front. Probably 250K worth of vehicles! Didn't believe it at first, so we went back and circled over. For some reason, they all went inside! I guess they don't like helicopters circling overhead! I wonder why?
