House Session on C-SPAN

Have these idiots always acted like they are acting today? It has been a very long time since I've watched C-SPAN's coverage of these activities.

In the last 2 hours I've noticed...

1. Complete lack of any real discipline and border line immature.
-15 minute vote went on for 30 minutes
-People don't shush when they are supposed to with their allowed time
-Generally speaking people are rude and not being quiet

2. When watching people in the background, no one is listening anyway.

3. One party will complain about lack of agreement, and preach teamwork and then proceed to be down right unprofessional when talking about the other party.

4. Everyone is just reading from their speech book. I mean, I'd understand this if it was notes and their own ideas. I just have a gut feeling it is all prepared and not even their own opinions. Out of the last 2 hours, I'm guessing only 2-3 times have they actually talked past their formalities with their own words.

5. I'm guessing 1/4 of time is just them kissing each other's asses.

...past that, this stuff is boring. Going to start watching this a lot more though.

That's generally the way it goes. You'd think that when a school was scheduled to visit and watch the proceedings they'd make it a bit more civilized, but no those fuckers carry on like the third graders who are watching them.

There was something I saw I think about in Austin how when there is voting, some will reach across to other empty desks and push the vote button for someone who isn't even present. Half the time the room is mostly empty and they are just talking to a few that aren't really paying attention in the first place.

Everything is handled through little power deals, trades and such between the few.
