Yup, this truck has seen some salt during its life for sure. Clean ride, but they're asking way too much.

I have a 2010 PreRunner and I'm pretty disappointed in it. Plastic bed and TONS of TSB's. I think Toyota went down in quality recently.

AS GOD IS MY WITNESS i swear i'm not making this up.

I had a buddy who would carry around gallon jugs of water (probably distilled) but when his little "yoda" would start running out of gas he would just pour the water in the tank and keep going.

craziest shit i have ever seen. been doing it for years and although it is an eyesore it runs just fucking fine......

Granted he puts gas in it every now and then but weekly it gets water added to it

        RESIDENT ELECTRICIAN AND WIRING GURU!!!!

With that low mileage it will last a long time, the nissan I drive had over 200k when I got it a few years ago and have put plenty of miles on it.

I wonder if it will work in 95 Nissan. How much water would he put in??

I love my 06 Taco with it's plastic bed. Granted I don't toss bricks around in there, but it'll never rust and should hold up fine for my needs. I haven't looked at a later model Taco to compare, but compared to my wife's 10 Highlander I agree it feels cheaper inside even though it cost quite a bit more. What are the TSBs you've encountered?

The suspension and transmission TSB's were big for me. I had an almost brand new truck (I bought it w/6k miles) and the transmission was slipping and it would bottom out if I had anything over 400 lbs in the bed. I think Toyota lowered the weight capacity of the 2011's so they don't have to do the $2k suspension upgrades after selling them.

The dealer did the suspension TBS w/no issues due to the marks on the frame from the bumper stops. It took them a while to be able to recreate the xmission slipping so I drove around for a while w/it slipping. Hell, it still does it a little now, but I know I will not get any results when I take it back to them. There is also one with a rattle under the dash and a shaky steering wheel when driving over rough terrain. So I have had to go back for fixes/band aids every time I wanted to use my truck as a truck. This is just a few TSB’s that I have personally encountered, there is a huge list of them for 2nd gens on the Taco forums.

I do like the look and feel of the Taco, that is why I bought one. I just wish it was made as well as the first gen was.

I'd love to have a Tacoma but my interest ends after 2004.

Yeah they're asking way too much and it's definitely seen salt. I have a '95 pathfinder(same thing) going on 160k, see's water/mud on a weekly basis and zero rust issues. I drive it 600 miles a week to work then show my buddies bronco's whats up all too often... I love my Nissan..

Something is wrong with your math....600 miles a week for 15 years is 468,000 miles...yet your 160,000 miles averages out to only 888 miles per month, in 15 years
