I've owned 3 blazers, and 2 jeeps. I'd own another S10 blazer if it had an LS1 in it, but I'll never own another 4.3 anything.
96 was the worst year for them. The ECM needed a revised wiring harness, it caused the electrical bugs and the electronic transmission issues. Pre 2000 transmission issues are almost always the valve body that gives trouble and it's a pretty easy fix. I found all of my 4.3's to get ok mileage, my 93 got 16/22, my 96 4x4 got 14/19, and my 98 got 16/20.

Some of the late '90-early '00 Cherokees had a funky issue with the fuel lines that caused them to not crank back up after short trips. It was almost like vapor lock, but the fuel lines were collapsing, in our case. The stress caused the fuel pump to fail prematurely. After our third fuel pump in 9 months, and finding out that there was no recall for the faulty lines, we sold it.

Another vote here for the Jeep Cherokee XJ. I have had 3 and I am still rocking one with over 220K miles. The only issue I have had is the a/c compressor went out. Other than that, I have had to do the normal wear and tear stuff but the thing is damn near indestructible.

Did the 4runner ever come with a supercharger? Im looking for a truck/suv that comes supercharged/turbocharged but the only thing im finding is the POS Range Rovers.
Yes, the 4Runner did have a factory supercharger option. Starting in 96 I believe. Same with the Tacoma, starting in 01 or 02. Toyota started putting the supercharger on from factory with the 3.4 motor, which is a damn fine motor. The supercharger option is a little pricey, but paired with the 5 speed they are very nice.

Burn? When did you get back?
I think his point is that the fish got low balled, fucked in the catfish asshole and you paid half price. The worst part was the fish explaining to his fish friends why his asshole smelled like redneck
