I'll probably personally take a moment of silence to reflect...

...then go on about my day.

I've watched about 6 hours of 9/11 footage this week to re-live the experience, bring back the emotions, hash things out in my head, and pay my respects. So on Sunday, I'm going to enjoy my freedom and go play some golf.

I take a moment of silence for those who lost their lives. And watch football.

I'm supposed to deliver a memorial at church on 9/11. I still get so mad over 9/11 that I have a real hard time controlling my emotions. If I can get through it without cussing, going on a rant about muslims, or breaking down and crying from rage, I'll be doing good.

                From NY Magazine:

Tower 1 was hit 8:46 a.m. and stood for 102 minutes.

Tower 2 was hit at 9:02 a.m. and stood for 56 minutes.

Once the towers began to fall, complete collapse took less than 12 seconds.

                * Number of nations whose citizens were killed in attacks: 115

                * Number of families who got no remains: 1,717

I spent the last two years on cruises, at least 500 miles away from the US. Paranoia played a part in it but also it's a good time to get away, the weather usually is hot here still and cruises are cheap because of hurricane season.

This year though it falls on a Sunday so I'd be off work anyways, I'll probably just stay home and watch football.

I did watch a show on the history channel that the materials needed to make a A-Bomb are alot easier to get these days. Chances are its going to happen some day down the road. Be 10 years or 50! If something from space dont kill us. We will!
That show is full of crap. There is a world wide shortage of weapons grade plutonium and uranium. The price of either have increased 20 fold in the past 4 years. Satellite companies have bought any remaining stock. That show based their numbers off of fuel grade plutonium and uranium. Not weapons grade.

I'll be driving to New York City on 9/11. Should be there Monday and Tuesday. Then I'll finish up my week in D.C. I'll be reflecting as I do every year.

I have boarded up my windows and loaded all mags. tonight the razor wire goes up and alligators chained to the trees. We have 2k gallons of clean water and 900lbs of dry food, cyanide pills in case we get boxed in and double extra heavy duty foil to communicate with the "visitors" should they come to the rescue during the "event" that's going to happen. or...I may just watch football and let the cards fall where they fall.

If you are looking for something exciting as the pro-mods or 10.5" classes on friday nights... you will be dissapointed. If you like seeing old cars run the 1/4 mile and bracket race than you will enjoy it. There is usually really good turn out on the Ennis event. A lot of down time in Ennis though as it seems they never have their shit together.
