Does anyone have a Tahoe Hybrid?

Just got a bug for something new and we definitely need more room so we started looking at these. I'm looking at a 2008 and they have it listed for $28k.

Anyone have personal experiences with the 2008? Any known issues/recalls? Also looking to see if people actually get the 21/24 mpg that Chevy says it gets.

Last time I saw any was at the State Fair in 2008. I have never heard of anyone mention anything good or bad about them. I guess they are pretty rare?

LMAO-that would be a miracle considering I was gutted last year. With 3 kids in sports, 2 dogs and our love for camping and road trips, an Acura TL and an old Bronco just doesn't meet our needs as well as we would like.

Driven a few at my old job, they're meh. They get barely any better gas mileage on the highway than a standard tahoe if I remember right.

Hybrid-21/24
Regular Tahoe-14/19

I put 30k on my car in less than a year. I'm in it all.the.time, so 6mpg is enough of a difference to notice, but not sure if it offsets the cost of going hybrid to begin with.

I have the 5.3 w/ cylinder shutdown. In town I get 15-17. On long roadtrips I think its more like 18-20. I haven't checked in a while.

I haven't reset my instant fuel economy gauge in quite a while and I think it says 16.7 or so for the past 1000+ miles and that tends to be a little low... so overall I'm probably right around 17.

the ones Ive worked on and drove are weird to me. First they are quiet which isn't what you normally expect. also I dont know if its just me but I dont like the brakes. I think its electronic and it just feels like you have to use more of the pedal. But thats just me

guy here at work has an 09 Regular tahoe that is getting about 20/21 with a cold air intake and a tune....
