Thoughts, questions, comments, concerns??
I'd love to have an old school .44 Automag, but alas, I'm no DFWM baller.
So, I got to thinking about what it would take to build an AR in .44. I realize this is probably pretty close to the .458 or .50 Beowulf, but is it wrong to be different?
I would think that the bbl would be the only tough part as you could use a .308 bolt. Which brings up another issue. Can you swap the bolt head between the AR-10 and AR-15 or would this caliber have to be built on an AR-10 platform?
