  • So I want to make my AR an SBR/ suppressed?

    Is it easier to do a trust or just file the forms myself? Also with a trust, am I able to make it an auto?

      No on the auto. Trust will be easier, unless you are best friends with the local chief of police and can get him to sign off on your paperwork...
      "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

        There was a thread(I think by DOHCTR or CJ) specifically for all types NFA related items and procedures. I thought it was a sticky but I don't see it anywhere. try searching or wait for one of them to chime in.

          The trust is easy but filing as an individual is not difficult depending on where you live. You simply need to get the chief law man or a slew of other eligible people to sign your forms. No big deal.

          And yes, you can convert your gun to full auto by purchasing either a registered drop in auto sear or a registered lightning link.

            I like how the title is "make my AR an SBR/ suppressed" and the subject is "make it an auto"

            sbr != suppressed != auto != sbr

                  Because I live in a rural area I'm under the impression that the Sherriff in my county is whom I have to get to sign off, who might Other Eligible People might be or is the Sherriff it in my case?

                        Lol, imagine the examiner. I gaurantee they would investigate that shit to see if it was fake. But legally the HNIC could sign off for you (which would be epic as fuck).
