It sucks off the shelf, what's best and easiest ?
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

Youtube AR trigger job. Takes about 10 minutes after disassembly. Or spend $200-ish for a Timney(?).

I've always liked the RRA NM 2 Stage trigger in AR rifles.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

Geissele SSA has the absolutely best trigger break I've owned on the AR. It is a 2 stage trigger and the second stage is about 2.5#. I use it on my ARs intended for target shooting.

ALG defense is related to Geissele and they sells a couple of reasonably priced "standard" trigger that's properly polished and prepped. Pull is around 6.5# and does not have the "glass rod" break that's associated with match triggers. But it's a a huge improvement from OEM triggers.

RRA NM trigger is roughly between the ALG and SSA trigger. I was happy with mine until I tried the SSA.

I have a spikes tactical, nickle boron coated battle trigger that I would part with. I have 2 of them, one is currently installed in a rifle if you wanted to see how it feels. I live close as well.

Search this forum. There's several threads. CJ has had some very good input.

I had that rra trigger in one of their rifles. It was nice but nothing to brag about.

The RRA trigger is good, but like someone else said, nothing to brag about. I have it in my duty rifle. Its about half the cost of many triggers out there, but a marked improvement over the stock trigger. If you are looking for a "better than stock" trigger, I would highly recommend the RRA. If you are looking for the most awesome trigger ever, then I would spend the money and get something else.
