I know you dont want a 2lb trigger on your CCW but I also dont want to get a cramp just from firing a single mag (exaggerated for sure)Last edited by Gtracer; 02-04-2014, 01:59 PM.Originally posted by Sean88gtYou can take white off the list. I have the xds 9mm and XD sub compact in .40 for side by side comparison
Not too far at all, if I am ever that way or plan too, I will shoot you a PM and see if you are around.

Granted, G29 is probably my next purchase, but it's a little on the thick side if you carry IWB. Could do a G27 or G23, or go to something else like a Shield, M&Pc, etc. A lot more options in 40 vs 10mm and less reloading change (assumption...I don't reload).

How often do you go to the range with your CCW and shoot? I am not LEO/Mil so this is a factor. I assume maybe no more than once a month.
Edit: the only cost savings over chosing .40 is I already have the dies, granted they will have to be adjusted quite a bit to accomodate .40, it can be done.
Any other caliber would require small pistol primers, bullets and dies. Another note is that the .401 bullets I do load in my 10mm are 180/200gr bullets, those would be a bit too much for a .40

Carrying CCW to a point is more about the equipment (belt, holster) than it is about which gun you are carrying. If you are looking at a Glock and want it to conceal and be comfortable look at something like a Comp-Tac kydex reinforced belt and an IWB holster.
I've seen quite a few people try to carry a full size pistol in an uncle mike's holster with a dress belt and blame the weight of the gun.

Did you try a bunch of holsters until you found one or did someone recommend one and it just happened to feel great? I definitely want IWB and a sturdy belt is a must.Originally posted by Sean88gtYou can take white off the list.
