local Class 3 dealer

You do not need a class III dealer to register a firearm as an SBR.

How do you do it then? Everyone i know just buys the lower from their local class 3 and they assist with the paper work.. Since this will be my first item on my nfa im a noob.

Form a trust, engrave a lower, file for tax stamp, wait. There's a sticky about NFA items

Form 1 and mail to ATF. Use a regular AR lower.
