Well I finally sat down to my box of parts and Superior Arms and Ammo lowers (plus a few Anvil Arms that I had left over). I finished out my last 3 Anvil Arms lowers and put together 3 of my 10 Superior Arms lowers.
I really like the newer ones. They have the rear take down spring and detent hole pre-tapped for 4-40 set screws. I normally would tap this out so you can completely assemble the lower without loosing any parts. Also makes servicing the stock easier. A simple mod that I was glad to see the industry catching on to.
The finish on the Superiors is pretty nice. They are a little duller compared to the CMMG and Anvils that I have but still a nice finish.
They went together without hickups minus the front take down detent and spring holes seem to be a .001+ too shallow. Just took a little extra effort to get the take down pin in.
I have almost enough spare parts to put 2 more Superior lowers together. Hopefully this weekend I can pick up the rest and a few more kits.
Who else has built out their Superior Arms lowers?
