Portable games? PSP, DS, etc.

I am in the market for a portable game player, we are going on vacation in a few weeks and it would be nice to have something for the airplane ride and long road trips. Anybody have any recommendations? Went to game stop and they have a Nintendo DS for 70.00 used, or an older style PSP for 60.00, which would be better? Don't want to spend too much and don't really need anything too fancy.

The kids have a DS. Kenny wants a PSP. With anything Nintendo, it's going to be more young kid oriented.
