GPS unit on your ATV? Side by Side

I just bought a nice Side by side and they offered GPS tracking if it were to become stolen or to monitor my kids for 400.00 initial and I'm not sure how much a month.

Has anyone done this on any vehicles have any recommendations?

The GPS unit would need a battery, and I'd try to find a good place to hide it..

Could probably just use a phone. I know iPhones come with the find my iPhone app and find my friends app.
