          Yeah, IP and other things on a computer tend to make them worth more to the owner then a car.

          Only exception is classic or cars where owner put a lot of work into them. However, a good portion of the cars out there - easily replaced.

              That machine new in the time frame he is talking about probably cost more than some of the mustangs people drive.

                Finally watched it, enjoyed every minute of it, cept the beginning with the manhole, was meh.

                  True, but the douche probably wasn't smart enough to do that..

                  But he makes a damn good point about encrypting your hard drive. There really isn't any excuse to not do that since OSX and Win7 both come with pretty good disk encryption (filevault and bitlocker) Though Win7's bitlocker is much more feature rich it requires Win7 (or Vista) enterprise or ultimate editions.

                      The funny part is that the owner wasn't really prepared, but he was able to think quick - the major saving grace was that he had VNC installed and was able to get into the machine, install a key logger and THEN was able to do the recon. Brilliant!
