From my last experience they usually offer you book value for it, not what they actually sell for. My jeep books for like 7k, but they sell for around 12k. I've been through this before, I had to argue with Allstate for 18 months on my last settlement. I'll try to get every last penny out of it, and then buy it back and part it out.

Allstate blows. When my 03 cobra was totaled in 09 farm bureau offered me 18k. I just told them to find me a single one with similar miles for $18k. I asked them to search sold Ebay listings, forums, etc. one week later I had a check for $23k.

Sucks shit though a straw. I bet her insurance is canceled or expired. It's pretty common practice to get 6 months of insurance coverage then turn around and cancel the policy after the insurance card comes in. Bitch who hit me on my motorcycle did that shit.
