^^^^^ Just so you guys know, this guy knows what the F he is talking about.

He built the 426 in this bike with the 450 cams and it was a monster. Cranked on the first kick which is bad ass for a 426 until I let it sit up for a winter and clogged the carb. Rebuilt it and walla back to a one kick start.

Buy a new gasket kit and set the float level with the clear tube method. I just did this on a 05 660r and it worked great.

All of the above. It was completely gummed up, I replaced all the Jets, needles, e t c., it was a complete kit to rebuild both carbs. I used the stock mixture settings, which I believe were two and a half turns out. Since I inherited the bike, I don't know exactly what has been done, but I do believe it was jetted previously. I also know that it has a full exhaust system on it.

So after cleaning the carbs, and replacing all the stuff mentioned above, I can get it to start with the choke on, but it is a rough and high idle. If I try to give it any throttle, it dies. If I try to take it off choke, it dies.

sounds lean to me. check the numbers on the jets you removed. If someone put a dyno jet kit in it they will be way off from what a regular jet says. If you have the air box lid removed put it on and see if it gets any better. just some info I googled on basic jetting for a piped 660 raptor also be sure to drain the tank and start with fresh gas.. be suprised how many people do not do that.

160/165. #25 pilot jets at 2 turns. Raising the clip drops the needles making it have a lean spot off the idle circuit. You want to put the needles back to stock or lower the clip which raises the needles

Cyclewerkz in Fort Worth. They will tune it on the dyno for a $300 flat fee plus jets.

low speed jets are still clogged, most people overlook them with the bowls off. they are tiny and take tiny screw drivers to get them out.
