  • Lost bike Keys

I have lost the keys to my bike 07 R6.
will the dealer be able to cut or order replacement keys
just like a dealer can with a car?
whats my best option to replace those, i wanna
stay away from replacing the whole ignition.

you should have a small metal plate that came with your keys. dealer/manufacturer can cut a new one from that code.

If you don't have that tag a locksmith can make them pretty easily.

In college I met a drunk "mobile" lock smith mid day at a pool hall and he managed to make a key in about 5 minutes despite not having the correct blank.

Generally they need the ignition and the tank to make a matching set (will work the trunk too, they don't need it to be present) - I parted a couple wrecked 600RRs last fall and got both sets made for $35/ea.

I know a guy with a shop that just paid around $150 to get keys made for an R6 he bought at an impound auction, so shop around!
