    We've lost our collective minds.....

College Says Serving Mexican Food at Sci-Fi Night Was Culturally Insensitive
There's big trouble at Stevenson College in California. Students are accusing the school of racism and insensitivity after they were served Mexican food during a sci-fi theme night.
The students were specifically upset about the use of the word "aliens” – as in space aliens.............. The young people who came up with the idea will now be subjected to something called "cultural competence training,"

It's 78 miles from Berkeley, don't take anything that happens there seriously.

Let California be California and worry about more important things is my take.

Texas will become California (Dallas may be pretty damn close as is) and few will recognize what is happening until it's too late.

              Yup!

I was in town last week and weekend for a wedding, can't believe how much even my little corner of HEB has changed. The idea of home has far surpassed the actuality of home for me anymore, if my mom and friends weren't in dfw i might never go back.

I know for a fact that I wouldn't, but I get plenty of this crap here.

I'm pretty sure that like in the past, Texas will retain its own unique multicultural diversity, as well as always be on the conservative side of things politically - though it will be moving back towards the center.
