  • form for parents opt out of Obama's speech to the children

So my kindergartner came home with a form from school giving us a chance to opt out of her watching Obama's speech to the children tomorrow. We gladly exercised our rights and did so. The last thing I want is for her to have to sit there and listen to that pos-potus campaign to her. any one else get a form like this?

I don't know why you had to sign anything. The student should have only needed to say they didn't want to watch it.

      That doesn't work.

I can't remember how many motivational speakers or gatherings we had in the gym or auditorium for guests. No one wanted to be there but we had to. I don't see why the President would be any different.

          Interesting.

Although I despise Obama, I'm not sure I'd stop my kid from watching. Mainly because I'd want to discuss it at their level (which is probably higher than my abilities anyway) and sway them my way.

My daughter is in 7th grade and I explained to her why I didn't want her to watch the film. She listens to our political discussions all the time so she is becoming more and more involved with them. After our 30 minute discussion she asked that I not fill it out because she wanted to hear what she had to say so she could refute any of the information with her social studies teacher. I love having a bright, Type A personality, AP student.

Never watched the kid speeches, maybe I should. But if he throw in "...and tell your parents to vote for me!" That's going too far.

He is a crook, I rather not have him say anything to my kids and have the teachers idolize him to my kids.

I'd prefer my kid not to have an idiot who has never held any job other than community organizer try to tell my kid how to live their lives. He got voted in based on race and affirmative action and union money. Fuck him

My step son came home and asked me to sign it so he wouldn't have to be exposed to Oblama. We then had a discussion comparing Oblama to Hitler prior to WWII.... He's 10.

We wrote a letter requesting that he NEVER be exposed to anything regarding B.H.O. in any shape or form.

Waiting for the response from the school! LOL!

I wouldn't let my kids watch anything without me being there or watching it first.
