Its not Uverse that sucks necessarily...its that the service is provided by ATT. ATT sucks.

Mine too is slow to respond to IR commandsand I use a repeater. Has anyone noticed scan lines in between broadcast programming lately? May be my setup but during commercials, they are clearly visible.

I think the Motorola and 2-Wire brand boxes they use are underpowered and taxed. Anyone using their Cisco branded boxes? I understand they are being used in some select markets

Now this is funny shit, It would not be so funny if we did not say that to each other while at work. Uverse is nice when it works, but any simple trouble can cause you many headaches. I have noticed my service being slow as well with the remote, but the picture has been fine with no freezing or pixels. I can now pause on all TV's live TV and record 4 and watch a 5th stream, I have been told that is not possible by co workers but it happens during primetime on several days during the week.

I notice it does it more when the other DVRs in the house are being used at the same time. I really miss my FIOS to bad i dont get it out here in the sticks yet.
          I fought that for months...

They ended up replacing nearly everything, and put new "updated" ends on all my coax connections. The coax change is what finally fixed the problem.

My main DVR box has started to take a shit about once every two weeks. As in we are watching TV, the picture freezes, I hear the HD go crazy, the box reboots, I watch the "gear turning" icon for 15-minutes, then it works fine minus all the saved shows and all the setup recordings are gone. Lately the screwed up signal that would just freeze up the screen for 5-500 seconds has been less, but the rebooting make me want to throw the box out the window. For the money, I'm not too happy. We may keep it when we move in a month just to keep the e-mail, however to keep their TV service I'm demanding a new DVR box and some kind of credit each time that kind of shit happens. I wish they had the DVR box with a SSD. When we turn on the TV you have to wait about 5-10 minutes before you can change the channel or do anything with the remote.

Well the tech we had out here told us the heat is some of the problem to it too with the cables outside. We still run on coax cable, he tolds us if we continue to have problems we'll have to switch to cat5.

When was the tech out there?
The Weather has a lot to do with aerial cables, the hotter weather causes highjoints in the wire and can cause signal to be stronger becase the copper expands. The coax should not be used if you are more then 2500ft out IMO it should be on cat5 or simply a twisted pr cat3 to the RG and cat5 from the RG to the set top boxs.

This was back in june. He said we were too far for the best service, but somehow were getting good signal. But he said if your problem continues then ya need to switch to cat5.

Would that be the cause of the lag of the system? IF so, why is everyone else doing the same thing?

mine is 3800ft out and I have good numbers and taking no errors and after the update mine LAGS like crazy as well. They will never learn to leave the system alone when it is not broke.
