  • MSR 1.7 clockwise lap vid

Here is a 1:19.7 lap. Stock ZR with alignment, seats, and new but 2 year old Continental slicks 305/325 sizes. Sloppy lap on first Sunday session, but it was the best I could do this weekend unfortunately.

edit: cleaned up version of the video

Just don't run wide going through ricochet in the at direction...you will say hello to the CW station by parking in it!

Going into Ricochet CW is fun as hell. You hit it right, you can carry some good speed thru it. Just have to pay attention and be ready on the brakes.

Going into Rattlesnake CW was always an odd feeling for me. Always felt I was going to run off track waiting to turn in.

Ricochet CW is definitely a gut check corner. You do need a very late turn-in for Rattlesnake going this direction.

Thought your vette looked familiar. I was a CW at turn 2 by pit out. Sounded good!

Sorry about my slide session cording my heat cycled tires. I saw you grab your yellow flag before realizing I wasn't going to lose it the first time around. Thanks for your help keeping it safe out there.

Yes, dashware with a GoPro 2 and Solo DL data acquisition. A buddy overlayed the video for me.

Yea its a natural reflex out there for me lol. That close call with the yellow miata gave everyone a scare I think.

Yeah, I got a lecture from Steve Hodges with BMWCCA about that. I was a good 20 yards from the Miata. . I saw him spin out in front of me and mid-slide I got distracted for a second and that was all it took for me to go backwards. I went full clutch and brake at that point. Pissed me off I let myself lose it with that mild distraction.

I have to ask, are you running used take offs or something? Seems like every video or half you posts mention corded tires or heat cycled out.

I don't recall ever "cording" a tire in 8 years of doing this. I have had two carcass failures but I've never run a tire to the cords, even on the Lemons cars.

Anyway, seems your tire life is measured in minutes instead of days or laps.
