Guess it's time to sell my spot for $5000 LOL.

        Good Evening:

Well it's been an interesting day of phone calls and e-mails. About an hour ago, I received a call from COTA to discuss MVP's February 1-3, 2013 track date. They had some concerns about safety and the number of cars on track which were easily rectified through a pleasant conversation. Let me reiterate, MVP's Circuit of The Americas event is back on.

I'd like to personally thank all of you for your patience and support while we worked through this bump on ther track with COTA.

I look forward to seeing all of you at Circuit of The Americas February 1-3, 2013. In the immortal words of Tiny Tim "It's a Christmas miracle". Merry Christmas!

LOL, it was great, I didn't get my 2:35, got a 2:37 though, no video for that lap. That track loves HP. Interesting tidbit for anyone who cares, I was running 3 sec faster on 8 heat cycled RS3's than 12 heat cycled NT01's, very impressed with the RS3's. I was dealing with downpipe fastener issues the whole weekend, also blew a IC pipe and had a coolant line fail. Here is a short video of me playing with a GT3RS. I would have had a very similar video with a ZR1 and a Ford GT but I didn't get vids for those

cool video. i like the overlay.

as far as tires, rs3s are kinda badass. have you ever tried dunlop's star specs? supposed to be comparable to RS3s. the new zII star spec released this year as well.

that sucks about the flex pipe. saw your other thread too. AMS performance uses a large 3" flex pipe on their Evo X downpipe. that downpipe has been put through the gauntlet by every track going evo owner with no known failures. you might try to contact them and buy the flex pipe separately.

Star specs are great too, I just didn't expect the RS3's to do so well vs the NT01's, I was paying 50 more per tire for the NT01's and get less life/heat cycles than the RS3, I got the RS3's for NASA time trials this year, I am running the rs3's to get my lines down and switching to a hancook C71 for the "money shot". I will check with AMS, thanks for the info!

There are a few companies that do different sized flex pipes without the mesh crap inside. I got out of using them after a friend had one come apart on his crossover and take out a $2k turbo.

It's a big question mark what COTA plans to do in 2014 with DE type events. Based on the TDE event, they would probably do it again, but MVP was a relative mess with 3 wrecks, a car trailing over 150' of oil around the paddock, etc. So, I guess we will all see what they plan to do.

Yeah, I saw a post you made about that on corvette forums, not sure what MVP could have done about the wrecks since that was on the Driver, the radical with the leaking oil was in the paddock right next to me, they were having more problems than I was. I think the drivers edge event could have gone down the same way, what are your thoughts?
