    Yep.

If I'm going to make a recommendation, go to the Lonestar Sprint Nationals for all 3 days. 3 days of racing, and not a fender in sight? RACING GODS HAVE BLESSED ME! lol

Besides, I'll need some extra help getting the car ready in between race nights.

Lol. Then he can race with me and get his ass waxed by 50 year olds. The guy that won this past weekend turned 46 the same day.

Edit: I see people set 10* base on street cars running pump gas. I've got no clue what the avgas/racing gas guys set theirs at.
Yep this is how most racers do it. lock the timing out, saves from having problems with stuck advances, etc and losing power.

Do you ever travel to oklahoma? I am from Ardmore, my dad and uncles raced at Lake Country Speedway years ago, have about 10 championships between the 3 of them. Also have tons of family in okc that race modifieds at the state fair speedway.

I raced in Ardmore once or twice a year up until a couple years ago when new promoters took over and stopped booking the SST for the SST's last show of the year. I always did like that track. It's shaped similar to Williams Grove, but shorter. I still remember the first time it felt like my helmet was about to come off going down the front stretch. I learned to tuck my chin from that point on at that track.

HAHA yea last time i was out there, the track conditions sucked ass. Was extremely dry slick before the first feature even began. they really need to rip up about a foot of material and bring in fresh dirt. very expensive, yes but it needs it.. I would love to get back in a car!!! But right now finances are just not where they need to be for me to do that..

The only way it's going to happen is if you bite the bullet and do it. Much like kids, if you keep saying "I'll wait till I get XX amount of money" you'll never do it. JMO, of course.
