chump is full of "cheater cars". The sunday winner at TWS in June was a perfectly straight, 2nd gen RX7 with a sho motor hooked up to a miata transmission. ZERO penalty laps. They beat a team of a few of our instructors in a well driven/prepared e30 if that doesn't say something.

I had a discussion with the promoter about why he wouldn't sign off on our neon with the 22 gallon cell even though they have 2 hour max driver stints and 5 minute fuel stops, but would let that RX7 in the race. He had the nerve to ask me to point out a real $500 car at HIS $500 car race. I then pointed to the cars going by on the straight and saying "yes, no, no, no, no, yes..." Oh, there is $375 neon over there (our second car) and it's blown up. THAT is the car for this race. The aforementioned RX7 was turning 2:05's at TWS which is barely two seconds a lap slower than a mid pack CMC Mustang RACECAR on Toyo RACE tires. Also about the same speed as a well driven spec miata.

To screw with chump, I was tempted to get a T-bird or Fairmont wagon and put the 24 gallon cell in and put a cammed 347 in it with a couple spark plug wires off in tech.

Funny thing is our RPM event we held at MSR houston last month was run the same as the lemon's track config. I had our Camaro ST1 car there doing some shake downs and pulled a couple 1:46.2's on NT-01's and 400+rwhp. Car has a couple issues but was pretty damn fast. Fastest lemons car has been in the 1:55's or 56's.... on street tires! There are more cheater cars out there than just the SHO for sure! Chump should be renamed "Cheatcar"....at least lemons attempts to catch the cheaters!

The nudists are in pretty tight with chump car management. They ran the EC class at the TWS event. And I think they have gotten the hint about running lemons...ie afraid of the curse.

they got bucks and don't hesitate to drop them. Amazing for such a well prepped car how they end up in the penalty box so much. SHOws that dropping money doesn't translate to winning.

I wonder how long it took them to remove my tow hook from their quarter panel?!?! They apex perfectly into my front fender. Oops!

That Rx7 is well prepared and well driven, and it looks like a POS? I guess I really don't see your point? Just because your friends in an E30 are good, there can't be better POS cars and drivers?

And if a well driven Spec Miata runs 2:05's, I got some oceanfront property in Oklahoma. Try 1:58's and 1:59's.

I am probably going to start running a Miata in Chump just because of the long enduro races at TWS - I miss those.
