At 78 mph, you definitely have 8's in the car. I think tires and gears would wake that up quite a bit. My 60' time was 2.090. But after the 330' mark, it runs out of steam. It's just freakishly fast out of the hole for a truck for some reason.

I would get you out of the hole, but you would run me down hard at the end of the track.

Agreed, slicks, gears, and full exhaust has taken every 5spd car I have ever owned well into the 8's.

I cannot go past half throttle or so in 1st or it'll break traction, so I baby it.

So you have the gears, so get the tires and it will make all the difference. But just know, if you are not breaking traction, you might be breaking something else. You should be able to get some 8.7-8.8's with some sticky tires.
