  • Congrats Sam/Speedtek

They were not the first to do it but second. 200.8 mph in the mile this morning. The other car did it yesterday.
2010 Camaro 6 speed car 40X CI KB with meth injection.

Car that beat was the first was a 2010 Camaro with twin STS turbo's, MagnaCharged and nitrous. He went 205, congrats to them as well.

Sam is a bad ass, may be slow as christmas, but he's good.
Doing enough racing for 99% of the board!

Must be hell to sit at home eating hoho's and watching tv while the rest of us are out doing what you wish you could afford to do.

The 2010 Camaro went 200.9 mph. The 69 Camaro went 195.0 mph.
We were only trying to hit the 200 mark and finally put it all together this morning. We were having an issue with the intake air temps getting over 220 degrees even with a 6 gallon water/ice tank in the trunk of the car(they started the run at 45 degrees). Once we figured out how to manage the heat it picked up 7 mph from the day before. When we returned back to the shop tonight we put the car on the dyno to see just how much rwhp it takes to power a 4350 lb car(with driver) 200mph.
It made 860rwhp and 890rwtq with the same tuneup ,same fuel(c16) ,same boost and same tire pressure. On pump fuel the car makes 790rwhp and 820rwtq. We used the c16 to help manage the extremely high iat during the 12 second long 5th gear pull the last 1500 feet of the mile.
Next up for the car is a 9 second 1/4 mile time slip on 17" drag radials then moving on to the October Texas Mile project car.
Here are a few pictures of the weekend.
Out of the trailer ready for prep.

Ready to make the first run early friday morning.

We ended up needing to cover 80% of the front grill to avoid the hood moving around above 190mph. The rear of the hood was pulling up 2 inches at the end of the run. hood flying off ='s no bueno.

At the line waiting to make the final run down the mile.

Early morning run 77 degrees 100% humidity 2300ft da.Time to go home.

Here are a few of the 69 Camaro owned by Keith Sullivan of Speedtek Performance.
This is the car prior to leaving for the mile.

Car ready to make its first trip down the mile. This car has a 1 month old fresh paint job on it so protecting the paint was key.

Making 760rwhp 820rwtq the car ended up going 195 mph on its last run.

No bad for a couple of cars that drive daily on the street and wouldnt have a single issue winning a car show.

                  Nice work.

Billy Ray Motorsports should also be mentioned in this build. I know he does alot around there and here.
