      Agreed. Now someone tell me how much all that cost to get 500RWHP? I know that can't be nearly as cheap as what I have in my LS3 motor. I am at 480RWHP with just a cam. Throw some good heads and a few other bolt-ons and I should be well over that.

        What gets me is all of these years you have the typical N/A 3/4V mod motors pushing it to make 400rwhp and now the new V8 mod motor all of a sudden now can make 500? And the new V6 can make the same peak HP as the older v8's. Who got the fire lit under their ass at Ford all of a sudden?

          I'm sure you dont just have a cam!

          I say not bad for these little 5.0's only being around for a few months and already making same power as LS motors that been around for about 13 years....but anyhooo...5.0 vs 6.2 do the math.

          I have neither so more power to you guys!

            He prob has exhaust but that's about right... Mine did 501 with cam headers exhaust and an airfilter / underdrive

                    Agreed 100%. The reason I'm getting a Gt500 instead of a Vette is because it doesnt have a backseat for the babyseat. Plus, the Cobras and GT500's are just fun as hell to drive with a twinscrew and all that immediate torque on tap.

                        My heads/cam Ls3 car made 535-540 rwhp on three area dynos. They were stock heads worked over a little bit. The 5.0 makes good power, credit is given for sure. There is a story to b told why there is NO torque, it's a little motor. My Ls3 made more then that with just headers and a tune.
                        Doing enough racing for 99% of the board!

                              The Mustang making good N/A power is good for the GM crowd too. Because now GM will have to step up their game again in the horsepower wars as long as the upcoming gas crisis doesn't kill it all.


                              On a side note: It's still rare to see a "fast" new Camaro running around the street. I don't know if it's because they are expensive or what, but it's not like the new GT's are exactly cheap either and it's much more common to see a fast Mustang than it is a Camaro.

                              Vette guys are too busy wiping their cars down waiting for cars and coffee to stand around and circle jerk eachother.
